SUBGROUPS

The Transition Advisory Group subgroups met regularly from July-December 2021 to advise and inform the Department of Early Childhood transition plan and universal preschool program recommendations. Click on each group to learn more!

Stipends were available for parents and members of the early childhood workforce to participate fully in the meetings.

Transformative Governance, Operations and Funding

The Transformative Governance, Operations, and Funding Subgroup focused on the opportunities to align the governance, funding and operations of the new department.

Special Education Service Delivery

The Special Education Service Delivery Subgroup developed recommendations for the administration of preschool special education services within the new preschool programs.  

Innovative Data, Technology, Evaluation and Accountability

The Innovative Data, Technology, Evaluation and Accountability Subgroup focused on the opportunities to enhance the data and technology needed to support a fully aligned early childhood system.

The Universal Preschool Implementation Subgroup identified strategies and recommendations to align the state's preschool programs into a new statewide, universal, high-quality, voluntary preschool program in a mixed-delivery system.
